Our team blog title and theme this month is in line with the theme for World Mental Health Day and the team has come together to share what they feel they're entitled to as students.
- Student Minds Blog Editorial Team
Everyone has mental health and yet it is such an unspoken topic and students often forget that they are entitled to put their mental health first.
⭐ As students and members of the Editorial team, we feel that all students are entitled to... ⭐
👉 Taylor: You're entitled to feel supported by your university and course team. To me, this means that you're able to go to them with problems and things that you're finding tough without judgement and receive advice or support going forward.
👉 Emily A: You're entitled to feel valid in your experiences. Mental Health is unique to everyone and this means that your experiences will never be exactly the same as someone else. Feel confident that you deserve to be heard, even if your experiences look different to others.
👉 Madeleine: You're entitled to access professional mental health support when you need it. This might mean going to your university's mental health team or accessing help elsewhere, such as with your GP.
Can you think of any others? Share with the team - we'd love to hear from you!
Whether you are looking for support for your own mental health at university or supporting a friend, help is available.
